Specialised training with specific focus on potential illness and injuries contextualised to marine pilot’s workplace environment
The understanding and application of the onboard medical kit and equipment.
Introduction of additional recommended medical equipment, its use and application.

This informative workshop will provide attendees with a foundational understanding of how the ATSB conducts transport safety investigations across the aviation, rail, and marine sectors. Participants will gain insight into the core principles of the ATSB’s investigation methodology, including how incidents are assessed, evidence is gathered, and contributing factors are analysed.
Designed for those with an interest in maritime safety and incident response, the session will also explore the techniques used by investigators in the field and the process of translating findings into safety recommendations aimed at preventing future occurrences.
